NTELOS Adopts Pannaway Technologies' SCN for Converged IP Access Needs

Leading Virginia Telco Transforms the Service Capabilities of its Legacy ATM Access and TDM Voice Network with IP-Ethernet from Pannaway

Portsmouth, NH - May 14, 2007 - Pannaway Technologies, Inc., designers and developers of next-generation, converged IP broadband systems for telecommunications companies worldwide, announced today that NTELOS, a large integrated communications provider in North America, has deployed its award-winning Service Converged Network (SCN™) system. NTELOS will use a unique cap-and-grow strategy that allows them to easily transition to an all IP, converged services network with Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-enabled, carrier-grade digitized voice.

Key components of NTELOS' new IP and Ethernet network include Pannaway's BAS-300™ (Broadband Access Switch) and BARTM (Broadband Aggregation Router). The BAS-300 series is an aggregator of simultaneous ADSL2+ and provides native VoIP enabled POTS support, as well as lifeline POTS. The BAR is a Gigabit Ethernet aggregator and internetworking switch that simplifies NTELOS' ATM to IP transition by allowing for the simultaneous aggregation of their legacy packet DSLAMs and Broadband Access Switches.
