Pannaway system provides core elements of the PowerPlay package from ACS

Portsmouth, NH - March 29, 2007 - Pannaway Technologies, Inc., designers and developers of next-generation, converged IP broadband systems to telecommunications companies, announced today that Arvig Communication Systems (ACS), one of the largest independent local exchange carriers (ILECs) in Minnesota, has deployed Pannaway's Service Converged Network (SCN™) system to provide its next generation converged IP access network. With their PowerPlay package, customers can receive IPTV video services, SpeedLINE high-speed Internet and local telephone services all for one low price.

"Our decision to select Pannaway to assist us in upgrading our network to offer a complete range of advanced services was the right one," said David Arvig, Chief Operating Officer of ACS. "We have experienced a smooth transition from our legacy packet based access network to a very flexible Internet Protocol (IP) based system that is built to scale for future needs."

ACS has deployed a fully managed Pannaway SCN™ architecture using the Broadband Access Manager (BAM™) to provision, maintain and manage Pannaway's BAS™ 200 series network elements and RGN™ 210 premise devices. Working in conjunction with Pannaway's system and field engineering, ACS has created a systems deployment model that is robust, operationally simple and highly available and robust approach. The repeatable network deployment and expansion model, based on Pannaway's SCN™ architecture, has eased and accelerated the ACS transition to an IP access network today that is well prepared for the future.

"ACS was looking for a strong access partner that they could count on to deliver products that matched their business needs," said Kevin Brown, vice president of marketing for Pannaway. "Delivering a differentiated multi-play service which is easy to deploy, maintain and troubleshoot was the ultimate goal. Our combined focus on preplanning, training, and methodical roll out plans have comprised the correct formula for such a smooth transition."
