BAM is a sophisticated but extremely affordable broadband element management system (EMS) that reduces the installation complexity and operational expenses (OPEX) associated with rolling out and maintaining broadband services. BAM capabilities include, automated line diagnostics and troubleshooting (SELT/DELT); automated subscriber provisioning; bulk firmware upgrades and remote network trouble-shooting.
HOT Technology '06 award candidates were judged by a committee of eight general managers from NTCA member telcos. Award selection criteria included: level of innovation, product usefulness, significance of improvement, relevance in the rural market place and creativity of display at the EXPO. Pannaway earned first place honors for presenting an effective display that best illustrated their innovative BAM technology.
