Pannaway's Broadband Access Manager (BAM™) Receives HOT Technologies Award at NTCA EXPO '06

BAM Simplifies Broadband Equipment/Service Installation and Maintenance for ILECs

Portsmouth, NH - February 16, 2006 - Pannaway Technologies, Inc., designers and developers of next-generation, converged broadband systems to telecommunications companies, today announced that National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) (www.ntca.org), has named its Broadband Access Manager (BAM™), the NTCA EXPO '06, HOT Technologies first-place award winner. The HOT Technologies award is presented each year to the EXPO participant displaying the most innovative technology that has been launched or significantly improved in the past year. NTCA is the premiere non-profit association representing more than 560 small and rural telephone cooperatives and commercial companies. BAM is a key component of Pannaway's widely deployed Service Convergence Network (SCN™) platform, a highly scaleable and easy-to-deploy IP packet access system that enables rural Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILEC) to deliver new, revenue generating broadband services.

"Springville Cooperative is taking great strides to bring next-generation broadband services to their rural share holders and they're building a network that will sustain future subscriber growth while supporting high-bandwidth services going forward", said Dave Meyer, Executive Vice President of Sales for Pannaway. "We are aware that there were other access providers being considered during the selection process and we are honored to have been chosen as Springville Cooperative Telephone Company's technology and service partner of choice."

"We are honored that NTCA has selected BAM for this prestigious award", said Kevin Brown, Vice President of Marketing for Pannaway. "Our goal with BAM has always been to make broadband service delivery easier for our ILEC partners. We've added manynew capabilities over the past year based on customer feedback and we're pleased to be recognized for our hard work by a reputable organization such as NTCA."

BAM is a sophisticated but extremely affordable broadband element management system (EMS) that reduces the installation complexity and operational expenses (OPEX) associated with rolling out and maintaining broadband services. BAM capabilities include, automated line diagnostics and troubleshooting (SELT/DELT); automated subscriber provisioning; bulk firmware upgrades and remote network trouble-shooting.

HOT Technology '06 award candidates were judged by a committee of eight general managers from NTCA member telcos. Award selection criteria included: level of innovation, product usefulness, significance of improvement, relevance in the rural market place and creativity of display at the EXPO. Pannaway earned first place honors for presenting an effective display that best illustrated their innovative BAM technology.

"Pannaway's BAM has enabled us to significantly reduce our need to dispatch onsite technicians through remote network trouble shooting and by automating a variety of network management tasks", said Jay Mitchell, President of Missouri-based, Seneca, Goodman, Ozark (S-GO). "Loop qualification, service configuration, provisioning and other tedious operational chores are now automated, minimizing the complexity of our broadband service rollouts."
